Bio:
Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Sam grew up with the Rocky Mountains as her playground. After running at Oregon State University, Sam reignited her passion for the sport by dancing on the trails. In 2019 Sam was named the USATF Sub-Ultra Trail Runner of the Year, won a national championship, and represented Team USA twice. Recently she explored the longer distances and finished 2nd at the 2021 Trail Marathon Championships.
Besides running on the trails, Sam is the Volunteer Assistant Distance Coach with University of Idaho’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team, a doctoral student at University of Idaho in the College of Education, and is an adjunct instructor in Kinesiology at Washington State University.
