Bio:
I grew up in Northern Virginia and first fell in love with running in high school, initially by doing relays with my friends then later by joining the cross country team. I had the opportunity to run for UNC Chapel Hill in undergrad, then transferred to Villanova University for graduate school in my 5th year. During my college career, I was lucky enough to be a part of 2 XC conference winning teams, and garnered 1st & 2nd Team NCAA All American finishes in the 5k & 10k outdoors between 2018-2019. I kept training while finishing up grad school and briefly dabbled in road racing up until the start of the 2020 pandemic. With everything shut down, I took an overdue break from training and started cultivating other meaningful areas of my life that had taken a backseat in the past. I went back to UNC to pursue an ABSN/nursing degree during that time, and started running more consistently again with a new, sustainable perspective.
Fast forward to now, I’ve been working as a nurse in Seattle, WA since 2022, and rediscovered a love for racing on the roads & now the trails! Running has afforded so many unexpected, but wonderful, experiences since arriving to the PNW, from competing in my first trail 50k to meeting the most incredible people. I'm looking forward to chasing new goals & continuing to grow as an athlete with Cascadia Elite going into this next chapter:)
