Bio:
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Amelia’s love for the outdoors, sports and living an active lifestyle was fostered from a young age. After participating in a variety of sports from childhood through high school, her focus shifted to focus exclusively on running while attending Haverford College.
Competing in DIII cross country and track, Amelia helped her team qualify for 3 cross country nationals, was a member of an All-American and school record holding distance medley relay, and 3-time conference champion.
Post-collegiately, graduating with a PR of 5-flat in the mile motivated Amelia to continue training to break the barrier, and since then, a love of the process and ever-growing list of goals to chase have kept her hungry and inspired to continue competing. First in New England, and now back in the Seattle area, Amelia competes in cross country, road, track and the occasional trail races.
When not training, Amelia is a graduate student at UW, spends time exploring the mountains, woods and beaches of the Pacific Northwest, playing with her cats, cooking and baking, trying new coffee shops and furthering her house plant collection.
